Apna Business: multi-category commerce app
A shopping platform spanning medicines, agriculture, veterinary products, grocery and FMCG, fashion and electronics, with discounts, delivery, order tracking and referral rewards. Published on Google Play under Webexcel Digital Solutions.
The brief
Most shopping apps pick a lane: groceries, or pharmacy, or fashion. Apna Business needed to do something harder — carry genuinely unrelated categories in one storefront, from medicines and veterinary products to agricultural supplies, grocery and FMCG, fashion and electronics.
That sounds like a catalogue problem. It isn't. Categories that different behave differently: a customer buying medicine has different urgency and different trust requirements than someone buying a shirt. The app had to make each feel native without fragmenting into six apps stitched together.
What we built
A storefront that adapts to the category
Rather than forcing every product type through one template, browsing adjusts to what the customer is shopping for, while navigation, search and checkout stay consistent throughout. The customer learns the app once.
Discounts and promotions
Promotional pricing runs across categories, so a campaign can target a single product line or the whole catalogue without a rebuild.
Delivery and order tracking
Customers follow an order from confirmation through to delivery. Reducing "where is my order" uncertainty cuts support load and is often the difference between a first purchase and a repeat one.
Referral and rewards
A referral system lets existing customers bring in new ones, giving the business a growth channel beyond paid acquisition.
Support built in
Support is reachable from inside the app rather than pushed to an external channel, which matters when someone is mid-order and hesitating.
How we approached it
The app is built with Flutter, so Android and iOS share one codebase — a deliberate choice for a product with this much surface area. The backend work covered REST API integration, authentication, data storage and push notifications for order updates. We handled the Google Play release ourselves.
Why this project is worth showing
Plenty of agencies can build a brochure site. Apna Business is transactional: real orders, real payments, real inventory across categories with genuinely different logistics. It is published on Google Play under WEBEXCEL DIGITAL SOLUTIONS, so you can go and look at it rather than take our word for it.
